DivvyUpp Inc. ("DivvyUpp," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy.   • Account Information — Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Financial Data — Bank account balances, transaction history, and account metadata accessed via Plaid in read-only mode. DivvyUpp never moves or holds your funds.
  • Budget & Spending Data — Income, expense categories, savings goals, and spending plans you configure within the app.
  • Usage Data — Device type, app interactions, and analytics to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Spending Analysis — Categorize transactions, calculate safe-to-spend amounts, and generate insights.
  • Notifications — Send email notifications about budget alerts, streak reminders, savings progress, and weekly insights.
  • Savings Tracking — Track your savings goals, contributions, and progress.
  • Service Improvement — Analyze usage patterns to improve features and user experience.
  • Security — Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and abuse.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate DivvyUpp:

  • Plaid — Provides read-only access to your bank account balances and transaction history. Plaid's use of your data is governed by the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

5. Data Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
  • Bank credentials are handled exclusively by Plaid; DivvyUpp never sees or stores your bank login information.
  • Access to sensitive data is restricted to authorized personnel and systems with proper authentication.
  • Personally identifiable information (PII) is redacted from application logs.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct — Update inaccurate or incomplete information in your account settings.
  • Delete — Request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us at support@divvyupp.com or through the in-app profile settings.

8. Children's Privacy

DivvyUpp is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app and updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
